  1. Thanks Amshell about not using soaps, perfumes etc on day of transfer will keep that one in mind for me AND my dh

  2. Donnie,
I hope all is well. I have not seen you on here in a while. Just wanted to let you know I found a nice thread for pregnancy, with twins or more, due may/june. Hope to see you there soon. Jane take care everyone on your journey. best wishes to all. Jane

  3. Haven't heard from anyone lately?

Send a quick post to let us know where you are in your upcoming cyle or if you are pregnant, how you are feeling.

AFM... I am 9w6d today, but based on ultrasound measurements of the about 10 days ago, I am really 8w6d (since they were last measured a week behind in development).

Still feeling good with no morning sickness symptoms. I have been a bit tired in the late afternoons or late evenings, but still no time for any afternoon siestas. My pants are definitely getting harder to button at the waistline so I think I can get away with wearing some of my pants for another 3 weeks but should start looking for alternative pants with stretchy waistbands! The other day I had dinner with my sister and some friends and after dinner my sis popped over to my car and said "your boobs have gotten big...take the girls home" So funny as she was dying to tease me but could not during dinner since 2 of the people at the table do not know I am pregnant yet.

The big news is that yesterday I finally told my mom and remaining family members that I am pregnant. They were all very happy but some of my family members have no idea the 3 years of trying via IVF so believe the pregnancy happened naturally. Not sure how to tell them that it was via DE. I may wait until Thanksgiving when I tell them I am expecting twins. (note: I elected not to tell them about the twins until my next ultrasound and by then I will be closer to week 12 and will have a higher confidence that I will not lose one due to VTS).

Hope everyone is doing well and wish the best of luck to those who will be cycling soon that you will get a BFP in the upcoming months!

    Take care,
    Donnie

  4. Donnie So excited for you and what is going on I completely understand how you want to keep the pregnancy quiet until 12 weeks when it is safer to start to talk about it. It's funny to think that a growing waistline should be so desirable hehe but it sure is by me anyways, I am jealous and hope I get one too in the next year

    Hi muneer,
I believe your time will come soon too. Believe me, when you are going thru IVF it always seems like you are waiting forever. Although it took us over 3.5 years for me to finally get pregnant, now the struggles seem like a memory.

We are just happy we have gotten this far and blessed with the possibility of two to love and call our own!

    Take care,
    Donnie

  6. Donnie - So great to hear from you, and about your growing "girls," waist-line, and of course, your two most-precious ones, within!! Thrilled you are faring as well -! You make it seem so "easy"!! And, with TWINS!! Still makes me feel so happy and thankful, for your outcome...

Oh! Just wanted to pass along a solution that really worked for me with the expansion at the waist thing...try using a rubber band - or hair elastic, to loop at the button hole, and then to loop around the button at the other end. It works great to get just a few last inches out of your regular pants/jeans before you spend on all the maternity-inevitables!!

Thinking of everyone here, though I'm still on my DE hiatus!!

Take good care everyone - I'll still be checking in to get your updates!!

    Hi Makeleo,
Nice to hear from you. Hope your trip back home was what you needed.

Yes, I read that same tip yesterday but have yet to try it. I better get some super strong bands or else it will be embarassing to have it pop off and hit someone in the eye ...LOL!

I found some jeans in the closet that were a bit big for me when I bought them last season and now fit me just right!

Let us know when you decide to proceed with your next DE cycle so we can support you any way we can!

    Take Care,
    Donnie

  8. Hi ladies,
I just returned from my OB's office and we had our 3rd ultrasound done at 11w1d. The two are doing great and seem to have more or less caught up so I am back to my original due date of 6/8/09.

Baby 1 measured at 11w with a heartrate of 168 and Baby 2 measured at 10w4d with a heartrate of 174. It was so cool as they have progressed so much from the 2nd ultrasound 3w ago! They now look like babies and one was moving its hands and legs like it was running...can't believe there is so much activity and yet I cannot feel them. My OB says the one that is 11w was crowding the one that was measuring at 10w4d. It was remarkable!

This appt was a big relief for me. I feel more confident that we are less at risk now of having a VT now that the two are measuring appropriately and have strong heartrates. Only one more week of estrace pills and PIO shots!!! Yay!!

Wishing the best to those who are getting ready for their next cycle!

    Donnie

  9. Hey donnie, great news. I am so glad your babies and you are all doing great. I too had my appt today. My scan went well. Baby is measuring at 11weeks, I am 10.5. Heart rate was 178...awesome. What a relief. I am scheduled for a cerclage this Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well. I have been done with estrace since 8 weeks, my last PIO shot will tomorrow. i will then go on weekly P17 shots to keep my uterus calm. All this is to be proactive in avoiding disaster. Hey anna, how are you?

    Lynn,
I am so happy for you that everything is going well for you and the baby! It must be a tremendous relief for you and your dh.

Wishing you a smooth and uneventful 2nd and 3rd trimester!

    Donnie

  11. Donnie and Lynn - great news on your little ones. Lynn, hoping that all goes well on Friday and that these preventative measures give you some peace - if that is possible.

We do our 12 week nuchal fold test on Tuesday. We did our last US at 9w5d and all was well, so praying for continued good news. I have had 0 spotting for about 2.5 weeks, and even then it was super light and only when I wiped. I will be so happy to be out of the first trimester, and hoping when that happens it starts to get easier to eat - I still can't stand most foods and liquids are almost as bad to get in me - if not worse.

Enjoy the rest of the week and I look forward to more updates.

    Hugs -

  12. Hello Septemberites I just needed to ask about how everyone else handled being on bcp because I am totally cranky (arguments with dh everyday) and just need to know I am not going nuts and that others have had similar effects

next tx is 24th Jan with new donor

  13. Hi muneer - wish I could help, but I never had side effects. The only thing that caused me problems was the lupron, which we didn't use for our fet.

I hope DH understands this is just the hormones and only temporary, and you are on them so you guys can achieve your dream. How long do you have to take them? I know several women who have similar issues while on them and prolonged starting until dec in order to minimize the effects.

I am wishing you both the best cycle and success in January. I look forward to watching and cheering you on!

  15. Hi muneer,
I have never had mood swings with bcps but hopefully your dh knows that it is the hormones and not you.

Glad to hear from you and good luck with your cycle in the new year!

    Hi Lynn,
gosh the cerclage sounds awful... I am so sorry you had to go thru this. I hope you recover soon and now have some peace of mind that your baby stays snuggled inside you for the remainder of the pregnancy.

    Take care,
    Donnie

  17. Lynn - hope you are doing well after the cerclage - you have been through so much already, but it is amazing what we do to try to realize our dreams.

I have been watching the boards and know a lot of you are moving on to future cycles, some of you as we speak. I am so hoping for positive outcomes for you ladies as you move forward. I will be watching and cheering you on through it all.

AFM - I had my 12 week scan today and both babies looked great. The nuchal measurement and labs came back wonderful so the stress is off. We will do an anatomy scan at 16 weeks to do a close look at things and the peri said we will be able to tell the sexes by then - so that will be a great xmas present.

DH finally gets it that there are actually babies growing in my belly - up until now I am pretty sure he didn't quite understand. He was making me laugh at the US and the tech was getting upset. He couldn't help himself as when the babies would move he would just about jump out of the chair in amazement.

I wish the very best for everyone of you as you move forward. I would love nothing more than to read about each and every one of you having success. That is what I am wishing for this holiday season.

    Happy Holidays!

    Hugs -
    Anna
