  1. Hello everyone,

I am glad there this forum for everyone to be a support for one another.
I am 25 years old, 5.4. and weigh abot 115 lbs. I don't have any health problems and haven't been hospitalized for anything before.

I have been married for 1 year and my husband has low sperm count, with very few mobile sperms. He is healthy otherwise. In early September we have our first fertility doctor meeting and we have no idea what to expect.

I have been reading that alot of women are on medication or getting shots before or during an IVF? Will this be required for me as well if everything is okay with me? What type of treatments will he have to go under?

Also what should I expect from the first meeting?
Also anyone in the same situation who has gotten pregnant?

    thank you!!!
    best wishes to all

  2. Hi. We are going through Natural Cycle IVF.. THere are only a couple places in the US that do this.. luckily i live near DC which is one of the dr's locations that does it. You don't have to go through shots / stimulants...
Basically my eggs are okay it's just my eggs can't get through my fallopian tubes to my uterus. So the doctor will wait for my normal cycle and then pull one egg out and get my fiances sperm and make the baby in the petri dish.. for lack of scientific terms
This way is MUCH less expensive... it's about $5,000.00 - $6,000.00 as compared to $10,000 - $20,000.00 or more for the stimulated IVF...

You jsut have to find a doctor you can get to that does it.

If you are healthy.. this may be the better route.. or maybe even IUI is good for you??? Not sure.. since i dont know much about the male infertility part. But just some ideas... Ask your doctor about these.

    Good luck!
