  1. The one who thinks the Earth is flat.

ohhh yeah, I forgot about that. Sadly, most of my "view" viewing is based on clips of things like that. I think she is a very sweet youngihmson (truly)...but...the rest (like the world is flat comment) kind of freaks me out a bit.

  2. So, as I was setting the DVR, I saw some of the episode descriptions. On Wednesday, none other than our favorite infertile... Octomom!!! Gag. But on Thursday is Giuliana and Bill Rancic (newbies- married 2 years, ttc 8 months- I looked them up) and Dr. Jamie Grifo with real-life stories of infertile men and women (yay, riri). I guess they're trying to show all angles of infertility. I just hope there isn't too much babydust and/or judgment for those who are living childfree. GL Riri.

  3. Giuliana and Bill Rancic (newbies- married 2 years, ttc 8 months- I looked them up)

How annoying is it that trying for 8 months is the picture of infertility??

I feel like that woman Giuliana is reveling in her 8 month (!?!?!) IF-ness. She is a shark - will do anything to get her name out there - such a celebrity junkie...

  4. I DVR'd it too. I will watch it live since I am home this week. I have never seen the View, but have heard about it. Good luck Apanomeritaki, there is no one else I would want representing us either

  5. I think she is a very sweet youngihmson (truly)...but...the rest (like the world is flat comment) kind of freaks me out a bit.

    sweet...but SO STUPID.

  6. Wanted to add a big thank you to Riri and a break a leg (does that count for live TV?)

    Enjoy the view!!

  7. and Dr. Jamie Grifo with real-life stories of infertile men and women.

ohhh GREAT! He is an IF dr. who truly seems to GET IT and is a huge advocate for IF. He is against over-regulating (after the octo stuff, he was vocal about not over-reacting and restricting everyone else because of that), and calls infertiltiy a 'disease' (as it is) etc... lol riri you will have to give him a big smooch for me!

Indeed! he was on GMA a few weeks ago when they were covering Celine's "big story," and I really appreciated how he handled the questions.

fyi-his wife did IVF and DE. He is also smokin' hot...

  10. thanks ladies. I think it airs Thursday at 11.

And I'll be watching. I can't think of anyone who would be better at showing the world what infertility is truly like. I know you won't let anyone slip a platitude in.

  11. Just catching up on this thread. Wow. Glad it's turned from something so stomach-turning to something so positive. Riri, we haven't "met", but I have read a lot of your posts - way to go! Hoping I'll be able to view the clip online.

  12. Indeed! he was on GMA a few weeks ago when they were covering Celine's "big story,"

ugh...I used to be a fan, but she really irks me now (add in french accent)...it's like woe, look how courageous I am because I am dealing with infertility...but I will not give up...I will continue on my courageous fight until it works because you know I am too fabulous for it not to work and I can afford every treatment in the world, but really since I am rich and famous they will probably provide everything for me for free like most celebrity you know...

uhh sorry...got a little carried away...

  13. fyi-his wife did IVF and DE.

ahh I didn't know. thanks for sharing.

    okay there is that too.

  14. I'd be willing to be on The View if DH would allow it, but I think my story would be too intense for those women.

  15. Good luck, Riri - I'm glad to have you as our representative. Hopefully with Dr. Grifo on they'll treat the subject seriously. They better. Cuz if they mess with our Riri they'll have US to deal with

haha. awesome. have never been a fan so i have been almost able to work up a little (leetle) grudging respect for her for at least talking about it. My DH noticed the headlines on the suyoungihmmarket tabloids about her "courageous" and "painful" struggle and was like, sheesh, no wonder other celebrities don't ever admit to IF treatments.

  17. OMG, I hate to bring it up again but I want to kick Rob in the face.

What I do know is that nothing makes it better; but sometimes, if there is the even the smallest room to see it - if you will let it, there is an opening that shows up…It can be a valuable lesson full of wonderment and blessings. If your eyes are closed and your fist clenched in an instant, we can miss the most profound moment.Sometimes the most beautiful things look nothing like what we say we want. They are unexpected, yet magnificent.Imagine what life might look like if we saw wonder, amazement and beauty in a red velvet cupcake.

What do you bet Rob is Mr. Cupcake?

  18. That blogger - no words for what an imbecile she is.

Sweet Grapes - threw it out just last Saturday - it did nothing for me.

Riri - Awesome - I will be home that day - so I will watch even though I never watch the View because I can not stomach Elizabeth Hasselbach - her views are too extreme right wing for me (and as a Giants fan - her husband was a sucky quarterback to boot)

  19. GO RIRI!!! I've never watched The View, but I certainly will this week!

I hope you can bring Sunshine... then it would be not one, but two gorgeous wonderful IF vets.

  20. awww, thanks Scuba!

Actually, Dr. T at SIRM emailed me the information. He must have gotten it and he forwarded it to me, saying in the email how well I speak about this topic and he thought I'd be a good match! I HEART SIRM. In any case, The View has Riri and she is fantabulous and I'll be watching right up close to the tv!!

  21. I see that the View will let you watch clips and full episodes online. Does anyone know how long it is before they post the clips? I really want to watch but I'll be at work!

btw, cupcake had a big long "response" in a newer blog post over the weekend. imbecile is a good word for her.

and most red velvet cupcakes are just full of red food coloring. blech.

  23. I just read this thread! So excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. Riri...

I\'m so incredibly proud of you. You are truly a woman to be admired and you're gonna be great on the show!!

Kick that blonde bitch in the shins for me!

    xoxoxo

  25. Rob's a dick. And I think he's on 'shrooms.
