  1. Hi everyone.
We just found out NYU is not covered by our insurance. We just went to RMA and not sure about that clinic as well. We were advised 3 IUI's and straight to DE.
All FSH tests etc. are normal for me.
Wondering of any of you know of clinics/doctors that you have really liked/had great results with regarding DE etc. in NYC area. If you think RMA New York is great, would love to hear that feedback or neg. before we take the major plunge into DE land. Thank you soooo much!!!

  2. Hi Sarah,

I used CNY Fertility with offices in Syracuse and Albany for my DE cycle. they were great! I travelled from the west coast for the cycle. they have a large donor pool to choose from and thier prices are great. Check out thier web site . cnyfertility.com

If you don,t mind sharing what are your FSH numbers and did you have a antral follicle count? did it show a good number of follicles?

just wondering why clinic didn't rec IVF right away

  4. Hi thanks for the feedback. I am still so new. Yes they did initial FSH and said (with a rather surprised tone) that they were quite good.

  5. Are you going to try with your own eggs?

  6. Hi Ruby,
Nope don't think we are going to try own eggs at this point.
So we are going DE route. Right now, my head is spinning because we made an appt. for Cornell and yet, I hear the wait list is dreadful.
Alot of people have suggested IVF NJ so I am debating going there. I feel like Donor egg has its own issues obviously that make my quest a little unique. Argh!

  7. Can anyone recommend a clinic in the NYC area for women 45 yrs old and over? But, not using doner eggs, trying with your own eggs first before moving onto donor? Thanks.

  8. I know some clinics don't go forward after a certain age, I was told to try Cornell but I went with DE. Give it a shot maybe, they are supposed to be amazing!

  9. I would wholeheartedly recommend Cornell (No2 in US).

I travelled there from the UK to cycle with my own eggs aged 44.5. I got pregnant but sadly miscarried. I had also miscarried 2 own egg pregnancies that same year from UK clinic cycles.

Went on to donor egg and miscarried 2 cycles before success with donor embryo. I had many other issues besides age (clotting and autoimmune) and it was only after treatment that I gave birth.

I would recommend Cornell but also some extra testing to rule out common causes of ivf failure besides old eggs as if there is anything wrong it will affect a DE cycle too.

    Best of luck.
