Anyone experience this...Success mentioned

  1. Hello. This is my first post. We are beginning a cycle. I have not done this for about 4 years. We have had success with previous ivf and divf cycles. We had a very anonomous first donor cycle without a photo and very little information other that overall family health and vague comments about appearance. It was a leap of faith and it worked out very well. This cycle we have very detailed information about health and daily routine. I want to make sure that I do not give my donor any reason to cancel our cycle. I enjoy a drink occasionally but I did not drink during any IVF cycle. Has anyone else had their donor mention in their information that they have more than 1 or 2 drinks a week? I also realise that I had a much different lifestyle in my twenties than I do in my early 40's. I was told I could request no more than 1 drink a week but I really don't want to annoy my donor. I also have no idea if this is really all that important an issue but since I seem to keep revisiting it in my mind I wondered if this topic was troubling anyone else as well. Thanks.

  2. bump....I realize that this is only my 4th post but has no one ever wondered about this when they cycled?

  3. Yes, I keep wondering the same thing. I just don't feel I should mention it, because there is no way I could enforce it. So I am keeping quiet and hoping common sense prevails and she doesn't drink during the stims -

  4. I agree and that is what I think I will do. I really don't want to upset my donor. Thanks for the reply.

  5. I never heard of any medical risk to drinking before transfer.Have you been told that drinking before transfer may impact the oocyte?

  6. No I have never read anything. Just very cautious with alcohol and anything related to pregnancy and somewhat concerned.

  7. I understand completely. Since I don't really drink myself I never really thought about it.
    Good luck
