  1. Hi

Looking for some people to wait out the dreaded 2WW. I had my transfer (FET) yesterday. Transferred three 3-day embies. Anyone else??

  2. Angel,

I just realized my beta is on 11/23 also. We transferred 1 embie today (3dt). My RE was only able to get 1 egg at my retrieval, so we have all our hope on this one!

How long is your bedrest? Mine is 3 days. Don't think I'll make it that long!

    Best of luck.

    Ziggy

  3. HI!!
I am so glad there is someone to wait with!! My clinic does 2 days of bedrest. The first day I was good, second day, was hard. I did go up and down steps and had to lift a little. Oh well.
How are you doing?? I hope you are getting rest!
I am getting awful headaches..assuming it is from the progesterone.
Boy do I hate this 2WW!!

Good Luck and keep me posted on how you are doing!
    Angel

  4. Angel,

Sorry about the headaches! I don't get headaches from the PIO, but my hips sure are bruised from those needles.

I'm doing pretty well on bedrest - following the rules, but tomorrow I'm going back to normal. I think 2 days is plenty! It's going to take a while to rehabilitate my back after all this laying down. I said if I cycle again, I won't do the bedrest, but I didn't have the nerve this time. What if it really does help? I couldn't take the chance. KWIM?

Hope you are surviving your 2ww! I know it's hard!
    Have a nice weekend,
    z

  5. Its great you are getting bedrest!! I think 2 days is plenty as well. I kept telling my DH I was getting a bedsore from lying all day long. LOL
Sorry about your hips from PIO. When I did PIO, I found warm compresses to help after the shots. Hope it gets better.

Otherwise, I am doing ok. Looking foward to keeping busy with DH this weekend...and trying to keep my mind busy.

    Stay well!! Keep me posted!

  6. I'll join too! I am on a group with my Colorado buddies but it is hard to find anyone doing day 3 transfers over there.

We transferred four day 3 embryos that had been vitrified. Long story short: we were doing an FET to try something different and get the stims out of my system--plus my E2 was 6900 at trigger so we couldn't have transferred fresh anyway. This is our FIFTH IVF (unbelievable!).

What did everyone else transfer? We did two 8 cells, a 7 cell and a 6 cell. All graded 3+ which means pretty good, but with some slight fragmentation. Our clinic is CCRM and they grade hard

    My beta is the 22nd.

  7. Welcome Ashley! The more the merrier!!

We transferred 3 also. Not sure the grades. My RE is not big on giving that out...and I don't push it. I think they do it so you aren't so stressed out about it. I asked if they were good quaility and he said yes. So I am just going with that..LOL.
I did 2 fresh cycles. My last one in 6/09 I developed OHSS and couldn't tranfer. And I did a total 4 FET. Crazy I know. I do have a DD who is 18 months.

How are you guys feeling so far??
I had some slight cramping today..otherwise nothing.

  8. Angel
Did you do 4 FETs all from the 6/09 OHSS cycle? If so you must have had a lot of embryos!

We only had 8 day 3 embryos vitrified from our cycle in 8/2009. Of those, 6 looks very good. After the thaw, 5 looked very good and they chose 4 to transfer. I've never been pregnant, not even so much as a chemical, and this is truly our last shot.

I haven't felt a thing, except some dizziness here and there, which I'm sure is the progesterone talking

  9. Ashley - welcome! In answer to your Q, I transferred ONE. Unfortunately that was all my RE got at my retrieval. I was expecting 7. This was a 3dt of an 8-cell, no frag embie, so I'm not completely hopeless. We did another fresh cycle in July, where we got 5 eggs, all fert, and we transferred all 5 on day 3. BFN. In 2006, we transferred 4 fresh and ended with a singleton (DS is 2.5yo).

Angel - my RE also keeps the grades to himself. I'm not sure if he doesn't want to get my hopes up, or doesn't want to discourage me. Either way, it makes no difference. It's out of our hands now!

Our other slight chance is that my RE did an IUI right after my rather unsuccessful ER just incase there were any left over eggs in there. He told me it will take a miracle for this cycle to work. Nice!

Too early for symptoms here, but I am really hoping for some next week. I had zero symptoms last time, and I knew it didn't work. Will you be using HPTs? I think I'm going to skip them this time, because my heart breaks each time I see a negative. I'd rather take it all in one blow. Oh wait, I'm supposed to be thinking positive.

I hope you're both having a great weekend!
    z

  10. Ashley- No not all since 6/09. This cycle is my second FET since then. The others prior to my DD. I actually had 9 frozen from this cycle. My first FET, 4 were thawed and only 2 made it...and one of those wasn't that strong. I ended up with a chemical.
This time 4 were thawed and 3 made it and RE said they looked good. I hope I get better news this time!
It seems like your embies look great and I think you have a great shot!!! Hang in there!

Ziggy- That is interesting your RE did an IUI at the same time!!! Never heard of that. I hope this is it for you!!

I will take a HPT at some point. I like to have some idea what I am getting myself into before I get the news from RE. I try to hold out as long as I can and usually cave some where around day 8 or 9. LOL

  11. How is everyone?
On the one hand, I like it when the wait is quick. But on the other, I'm in that hopeful place between a transfer and testing...the only time I can actually believe it might work.

Actually, today I'm 6dp3dt and I don't really feel anything. I had some very mild cramps yesterday and today I sort of feel like my pulse is bounding a little bit but that could be my imagination. I usually don't obsess over symptoms, but this being our very last chance EVER I guess I am succumbing to the stress.

I think since you both have had success in the past that automatically ups your chances!

  12. Ashley, I know just what you mean. I am not so tempted this time to POAS, because I want to have that glimmer of hope as long as I can. I think this is our last cycle as well. I can't go through this stress again, NTM the expense, days off work, and physical toll.

I'm 5dp3dt, so right behind you guys! Like I told Angel, I didn't feel any symptoms on my (+) cycle until 8dp3dt (cramps+spotting). What I would do for some of that this time!

Wish you both lots of luck. Pls keep us posted on how you're feeling!
    Z

  13. Ziggy- thanks for giving me a little hope with your reply.

I can understand what you girls mean about that glimmer of hope. But for some reason, I can't remain positive. I am not sure if I will do another fresh cycle after this.

I hope we all get some good news!!

  14. How are you doing, Angel & Ashley?

I'm having a hard time being positive as well. I have been sooooo cranky today. I think the stress is getting to me. Quitting coffee doesn't help!

Any symptoms? I was very tired last night & went to bed really early. That's all I got. Oh, and I woke up this morning & went to work. Is that a symptom?

Hope you are hanging in there!
    z

  15. I really have nothing either! I keep poking on my BBs and hoping for some soreness, but I really don't think they are. I am 7dp3dt and I keep trying to tell myself it's too early. I swore on Monday there were some slight cramps but nothing now. I also keep trying to reassure myself that when I do a trigger shot and my HCG measures in the 200-300 range I never feel anything so...

It\'s all such a mindgame. I really NEED this to work. I guess we all do

Sorry if this is TMI, but I'm not even constipated from the PIO and endometrin. I guess that's good, but I always hear pregnant women talking about being constipated...

OK, I'm grossing myself out now...

  16. Hi Ladies

Glad to hear you are hanging in there.
I am right there with you with no symptoms. Today is 7dp3dt for me as well. I did have like one cramp today...LOL. And not even painful, more like a flutter.

I can't wait for this to be over. This is the longest 2 weeks!

Keep me posted ladies!! I like comparing symptoms (or lack of).

  17. Ashley - You must have a healthy diet! Progesterone messes me up! As for constip. being brought on by pg, that probably wouldn't happen for a while anyway....?

Do either of you feel PMS symptoms? I have been so grouchy! I guess the 2ww is getting to me.

According to the chart below, we should all be implanted by now....

I'm getting more tempted to POAS on Sunday - because I will be in meetings most of the day on Monday and am so afraid of getting the negative call and falling apart in front of coworkers! Eh....

    ~Z

this is what happens in a 3dt :

1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt.. Implantation begins as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt.. Morula is completely implanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

  18. Today I feel a little crampy. Nothing major. I also have had tiny episodes of dizziness while sitting--or more like a lightheaded feeling. Now, I swore I had this yesterday but then at work my afternoon got insane and I was slammed with patients and it went away--probably because I couldn't sit there and obsess over it

I will POAS on Saturday--that will be 10dp3dt so I know it will be accurate. Although I'm not sure about the ones I got-the Target knock off of one of the other ones, I don't know it's HCG sensitivity.

We'll get our beta on Sunday. We already decided just to stay at home after getting the blood drawn and just wait for the call. Obviously we'll know for the most part on Saturday. But stupidly we made plans with another couple for Saturday night. Get this: it's their first IVF which they only needed because she exercises so much she doesn't ovulate. They had a picture perfect cycle with a transfer of two high quality blasts so I know it will work for them...do I sound bitter? However, the sad thing is that hubs and i agreed that after four failed cycles we are so used to a negative that if the HPT is negative we'll probably be done mourning by Saturday night. Well, done enough to go out to eat....

    Sorry for the ramble!

  19. I am feeling slight cramps today too. Feel like AF is coming. I am tired and so bloated. My usual PMS symptoms.

I think I will POAS either sat or sun. This is the first cycle I am not dying to do so. I just want to know either way before the call on monday and be able to deal with it while at work.

Hopefully we will all get BFP!

  20. I guys, do you mind if I join you? I am a little behind you all - my beta not until the 29th.

This is my third IVF cycle and have a DS - a FET from our first cycle. I had 2 5 day blasts tranferred on Monday the 16th and I think I'm going to do a HPT on Sunday, at 6dp5dt.

Ziggy, the chart you posted is fantastic! Can you tell me where you found it so I can see if there is one for a 5 day embryo?

Best wishes to you all and pray for BFP for all of us!

  21. Hi bijukvr and welcome!!

I found the timeline for the 5dt for you.

This is what happens in a 5dt:

-1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
1dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt.. Morula is completely implanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
6dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
7dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

  22. Thanks angel; for the 5 day chart.
    Becca,I also had 2 blasts transferred 11/16
Official Beta is 11/30 but I am debating with myself WHEN to POAS!
I want to wait but Cant! WHEN??
I have been lurking and I'm on another thread!
    GL Girls,
Ashley, I know how to feel being bitte and negative all the time. I have 2 employees that are preg and actually had to host a mini shower and we are in the no tell camp/ it least you will have something to talk abut with your dinner friends since your the expert

I\'ll continue to Lurk if thats ok!?

  23. Thanks Angel for the chart, that's so exciting! I hope the embies are doing exactly that, if not quicker!

mark_H, I know how agonising it is decided whether to POAS or not. My DH is always trying to talk me out of doing it sooner cause I don't cope very well with BFN (not that any of us do). As I said, I WAS planning on doing one on Sunday, but after reading that someone else on this board got a BFP HPT 4dp5dt, then I'm starting to think about doing one tomorrow. I'll then be 5dp5dt. Still deciding.... but ultimately I'm sure it's better to wait a bit longer! Let us know what you decide.

Ashley, good luck for your HPT if you go ahead. I hope to log in here to see a BFP - that would sure make it easier to go to dinner over-fit friends!

  24. Hi jake and welcome!!
When I did a 5dt I got a slight BFP around day 7, and started to have symptoms of bad food adversions. I just knew by that it was working. I would wait at leas till then before starting to test. I did also have a little bit higher beta, RE thought twins, but was a singleton.

Well, I did have some symptoms yesterday!! I was feeling really nauseous. And had insomnia. I had that with my first pg. I am still cramping a little bit on and off and no AF yet. I usually get AF even on progesterone. I am thinking about testing on saturday.

    How is everyone else doing??

  25. Hi!
    Thanks for the posts
I'm tryin to work today but cant! I have read that women often feel hungary all the time, I sort of feel full?? I have no other symptons. Little cramps but that should be from our POI shots!
Becca, DONT poas before the dinner, you will be too emotional. Sunday might be the day!
