Anne and Joey were born Monday, Feb 20, by scheduled c-section (38w5d) at 7:53 and 7:54 AM, weighing 6 lb and 6 lb 10 oz respectively. Little Joey had transient tachypnea of the newborn--related to c-section--and spent one day in intensive care nursery getting room air via nasal cannula to help his lungs inflate (and an IV because he couldn't nurse), but is fine. We all came home yesterday. I'm very glad I elected for c-section over induction, because Joey had tied a knot in his umbilical cord, which could have made labor dangerous for him. The c-section itself was a piece of cake, and the recovery hasn't been too bad so far. They are absolutely gorgeous babies, and DH and I are totally in love with them!
