  1. I just wanted to wish everyone a very happy New Year two weeks late!!

Nicole-Colt looks adorable eating in his high chair! Those top teeth are rough. Poor baby. I think I would freak if a temp came out at 105. I'm glad I read your post so I know that it can be just perfectly normal. How long did it last? Adam, my peanut, weighed around 17 lbs at his 9 month checkup too. My Nate weighed in at well over 21 though!! Funny that he is only at the 50th percentile though.

Hi LB. Sorry about the RSV. That stinks and I'm sure it was quite a scare and ordeal. That is great that he is moving all around and sitting up so soon! I started my kids on cereal and fruit at around the 4 month mark. As for teeth, both my babies cut their first teeth at around 5 months. Adam now has 7 and Nate has 6 teeth--it seems all they do is teethe. That surely can't be fun. Just bring on that Motrin and Tylenol.

Jen-Hope all is well and that you are getting the much needed rest you need. We're finally turning a corner with the sleeping. The thing is that they each get up once per night or so. Sometimes more, sometimes less, but I just want a full night's sleep all night and every night though! The more spoiled I get, the more I want! Can you believe they are going to be a year old already?

Anyone hear from Gulsen? I still can't imagine life with two sets of multiples. I never would have imagined my life with just one set!

  2. omg, 105 temp!!! That would scare the **** outta me!! Luckily for me it was mainly coughing. He's better now and I'm so happy. I was playing with him while his dad was holding him and I made kind of a loud noise and he got so scared he started crying. I felt so bad.

As for the food, I'm going to try to wait until closer to 6 months if I can, although ultimately I'll watch him for signs of readiness.

Okay, time for bed!! Hope you guys have a great week!!

  3. Ronin is officially 17.8lbs and 27.25 inches. They scared me cause they had to measure him 5 times to be sure he was really that long! His shots went well and he barely whimpered YAAAYYYAA

  4. Lien - Wow that is long! Colt was 28 1/4 at his 9 month and they said that was 50%. He seems long to me because his 6/9 mo sleepers are too tight now. Yay on the good growth tho! When is he 6 months? I started solids at 4 months and he took to it so well that he was on babyfood by 6 mo. There's no need to rush tho.

Emma - Yea the 105 temp freaked me the f**k out!!! By them time we got him to the ER it was 103 so just changing him into lighter weight clothes and putting a wash cloth on his forhead my have helped a little. It was so scary too because he was just so lethargic. I had never seen him that sick.

  5. He's 4.5 months now, so pretty much in a blink of an eye he'll be 6 months I can't believe how time is flying! I also really want to wait to feed him food because of the POOP! Lol, I'm pretty happy with breastmilk poops.

What food did you start with?

  6. I have to agree with you Lien on the regular food poops! They can be NASTY! So smelly. We started with rice cereal, then did the orange foods, and then greens, and finally fruits. It was the pedi's suggestion. I made sweet potatoes and squash to start with. He absolutely loves both of those! And now he likes eating green beans as finger food. He also LOVES those Happy Baby green puffs. I think he likes those better than the fruit puffs! I can't believe how fast time flies!

Colt had another weekend of high temps. Took him in and they diagnosed double ear infection and wheezing. So he's on antibiotics and a nebulizer. Doing much much better now. I guess the cold moved to his ears and chest. Poor baby.

  7. Oh, poor baby. I hope he gets better soon. He's still eating okay right? That's what starts to scare me, is when they don't eat. OOHHH I hope he gets better. Anyway, I think Ro is going through a growth spurt right now, he's eating like CRAZY!!! It's getting better now, but man that was kind of tough, waking to eat at like 5am!!

    Okay, time for a feeding....AGAIN

  8. Thanks Lien for the concern! Colt is feeling soooo much better now. He is back to his happy little self. And eating much better. That was worrisome to me too. He would BF but not eat so I tried to offer him more feedings than usual but all he wanted to do was sleep. I tried the water thing too but he was not interested. It's great that they can bounce back so quickly. I took him to get his 9 mo pics done Tuesday. I had already made the appt and didn't want to cancel. He did ok. Not tons of smiles like the 6 mo, but still some good ones.

Hope Ronin gets through his spurt. Those can be a little tough. I am still hoping Colt will start sleeping in on the weekends soon. But 6 am seems to be his wake up time. At least he goes to sleep with no problems and sleeps all night. That is a blessing!

  9. Yeah, I'm lucky Ronins official wake time is about 11:15. He still sleeps with me and wants to have a \"snack\" once, and luckily breastfeeding is all he needs. I barely wake up anymore, just turn to the side and he's good.

Anyway, I'm so dumb, I haven't even gotten professional pictures done But if you want to pm me your email address, I'd be more than happy to share my lil' guy with you.

Okay, I've got a couple doctor appt's to go to tomorrow, better get to bed! I hope you guys have a great weekend!
